FAQ
FAQs
Here are some frequently asked questions.
what does it mean that moss is stabilized?
This means that it has been impregnated = stabilized. It is a process to which fresh, healthy natural plants are subjected, which have been preserved with a special stabilizing fluid based on natural ingredients. As a result, we get the effect of an “eternally alive” plant, without the need for care for many years.
Is stabilized moss a living product?
No, the moss is stabilized or stuck in development. After cutting, removing from the forest litter, it is impregnated. After stabilization and staining, it usually no longer shows basic vital functions such as further growth and reproduction.
How should moss be cared for?
Stabilized products do not need much care. The condition for their nice appearance is to maintain the humidity in the room at the level of 35% – 65% and can’t be on direct sun light.
What happens to moss when the room is too dry?
Moss hardens at low humidity and may start to crumble.

More FAQs
You have questions, we have answers
Can too high humidity harm the moss?
Yes, you should not expose them to being in a room with humidity above 65%
Is moss that has dried up and turned hard should be thrown away?
No, any drying up of moss is a reversible process. We can easily regenerate moss by increasing the level of humidity in the room with an air humidifier (many types to choose from: traditional heater, steam, evaporative). Sometimes it is enough to ventilate the room well.
Can dry moss be soaked, sprinkled with water?
Absolutely not! Mosses and stabilized plants must not be soaked or sprinkled with water.
Are moss walls harmful to allergy sufferers?
Stabilized mosses do not contain any allergens, therefore they are neutral for allergy sufferers.
how long does the moss need to be replaced?
It is a very durable product and provided favorable conditions do not require replacement for many years. As a standard, they keep a good appearance by: Forest moss – about 10 years, reindeer moss – about 15 years.
Are mosses suitable for bathrooms?
Yes, you can install moss panels in bathrooms. There is usually an optimal level of humidity there. The panels should be installed in a place where they will not be exposed to wetting or direct contact with chemicals and cosmetics.
Are all the colors of the moss natural?
No, most mosses are dyed (food or fabric coloring) to give them a more varied appearance.
Can moss change color during use?
Occasionally, moss will slightly change its color, which does not affect its attractiveness and it is a natural process. All mosses in our offer are natural, they absorb dye and stabilizing liquid to a different degree during the preservation process, and the environment affects them differently. Drastic changes in color may appear during improper use of moss (overheating, drying for too long, contact with water, contact with chemicals, too high humidity, too frequent touch)
